Transmitting Science award

We are glad to announce that Transmitting Science will grant an award to the best oral communication. Among all the speakers, the Organizing Committee will choose the best, which will receive one free course from Tansmitting Science. 
 
 
Transmitting Science offers a great variety of courses that cover a wide range of research methods aimed at postgraduate students, postdoctoral researchers and established academics. Their courses and workshops are organized into: statistics, evolution, system biology, genetics and genomic, phylogeny, ecology, biogeography, palaeontology, geometric morphometrics, imaging and drawing and reconstruction. All courses are imparted by leading experts in their fields, so this award represents a great opportunity to improve the their knowledge in their field!

Abstract deadline extension

Dear participants,

Due to the number of petitions to extend the deadline for abstracts submissions, we want to announce that the dates have been extended until 15th February (included). We beg you to consider this new date to send us your contributions.

In addition, we would like to encourage national and foreign authors to send their contribution in English, in order to facilitate the communication amongst the participants. It is important to highlight that the 1st IMERP-XIV EJIP can be a perfect place to present your contribution (in English) in a relaxed atmosphere to an audience composed by people at your same career stage.

Special thanks to the Fundación Conjunto Paleontológico de Teruel-Dinópolis

We acknowledge the Fundación Conjunto Paleontológico de Teruel-Dinópolis for its special contribution to the 1st IMERP-XIV EJIP. Dinópolis’ researchers will help us on the post-meeting field trip. Thanks to them we will visit Riodeva, the locality where the holotype of Turiasaurus riodevensis -the largest dinosaur in Europe- was found.

The Fundación Conjunto Paleontológico de Teruel-Dinópolis is an institution the activities of which include research in palaeontology, palaeontological heritage conservation and spreading it, mainly through Dinópolis. Their centres count with spectacular specimens, original and replicas of major fossil groups. One of these centres is Titania, in Riodeva.

Special volume of Quaternary International for Quaternary works

We are glad to announce that the contributions to the Quaternary workshop entitled "New insights on Quaternary ecosystems" could be published in Quaternary International, one of the most influential journals on Quaternary research. As in the other workshops, the vaibility of this special issue will be conditioned by the number of contributions that are accepted by the journal via the normal peer review system. We are waiting for your works!

Special volume of Historical Biology for Tertiary works

We inform you that the contributions to the workshop "Tertiary ecosystems: evolution and palaeonvironments" will be published in the prestigious journal Historical Biology. This journal has an impact factor of 1.489, ranking 15th out of 50 in the category of Palaeontology according to WOS (Web of Science) for 2014. As in the other workshops, the vaibility of this special issue will be conditioned by the number of contributions that are accepted by the journal via the normal peer review system.

We are grateful to Historical Biology for their support and trust, and we hope that with your help this volume could be published.

Sociedad Española de Paleontología awards

The Sociedad Española de Paleontología (SEP) will grant two awards to the best communications (oral or poster), voted among those attending the 1st IMPER-XIV EJIP. The winners will be awarded with a diploma during the SEP Annual Assembly, within the XXXII Jornadas de Paleontología, to be held in Molina de Aragón (Guadalajara, Spain) from 21 to 24 September 2016.
In addition, the winners will have free registration as SEP members for a year, free registration to the XXXII Jornadas de Paleontología, economical support for accommodation and subsistence expenses during those days (100 €), and the opportunity to defend the awarded work on the XXXII Jornadas de Paleontología and publish it in the Spanish Journal of Palaeontology.

Special volume of Comptes Rendus Palevol for Mesozoic works

We are glad to announce that the contributions to the Mesozoic workshop entitled "Palaeobiodiversity and evolution in the Mesozoic world" could be published in Comptes Rendus Palevol, one of the most influential journals of Palaeontology and Evolutionary Sciences. The special volume will be conditioned on reaching a minimum number of contributions that pass through the normal reviewing system of journal. Society of Vertebrate Paleontology (SVP) grants





The Organizing Committee of the 1st IMERP-XIV EJIP is pleased to announce that the The Society of Vertebrate Paleontology (SVP) will allocate two grants of $250 each one in order to fund two student attendants members of the SVP. To be eligible for these awards you should be registered and contribute as first author with one work to the symposium.
