Alpuente is a municipality of Los Serranos, located 96 km from the city of Valencia (Spain). We have chosen Alpuente due to its palaeontological relevance. The site boasts an impressive Mesozoic vertebrate macrofauna.
Even though most of the event will take place in Alpuente, the accomodation will be in Titaguas, the closest municipality to Alpuente. Some meals will be take place in La Yesa, another municipality of Los Serranos. Moreover, in order to make easier the transport the meeting will begin in the city of Valencia. Valencia is well connected with the rest of Spain and Europe. There are three local airports (Valencia, Alicante and Castellón) and is the base of several low-cost airlines. Valencia is also connected by high-speed with Madrid and Alicante. The organization will provide the transportation from Valencia to Titaguas only for those early-bird registrations. This transport will be take place on Wednesday 13 after the pre-meeting trip to the Museo de Ciencias Naturales de Valencia, and the back after the post-meeting field trip (Saturday 16). Therefore, we insistenly recommend to foreign delegates using our transportation.
Conversely, if you could not come at that time to Valencia there is available a bus Valencia-Titaguas (6:30 PM) and Titaguas-Valencia (8:05 AM from Monday to Friday and 7:15 on Saturday). Here you could check the schedule.
