Along the Tertiary, a general progressive trend to cooler conditions occurred, finishing with the marked climatic instability at the end of the Pliocene preceding the Quaternary glaciations. This workshop, framed within the 1st IMERP-XIV EJIP, is aimed at providing new insights on the environmental and climatical evolution of this time slice, by means of the study of its fossil record.
